Senior Accountant
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the individual will provide support to the accounting team to meet operational and reporting deadlines and have the following key responsibilities:

Prepare and monitor the annual budgets for Anderson Air and each managed aircraft including forecasting revenues and expenses, and analyzing variances
Prepare monthly financial reports for managed aircraft
Prepare quarterly rebates for carbon and excise taxes
Prepare monthly aircraft flight time reports based on transportation regulations
Prepare weekly and monthly analyses for fuel costs and direct flying costs
Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations for multi-currency bank accounts and credit card accounts
Validate transactions by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
Assist with payroll and benefits
Perform other ad-hoc duties

Who you are

5+ years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, math, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Working knowledge of Sage 50 or Simply Accounting preferred
Self-motivated with a desire to continually learn and grow
Eligible status to work in Canada

Salary range $90,000 - $110,000
