What you'll be doing:

The General Accountant role will be responsible for supporting financial processes regarding the area of Accounting and IFRS reporting for different countries.

You will be actively participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensure the correctness of the data posted, assure quality and always align with Avon Global standards and procedures.

Prepare and process specific journals: payroll, past due fees, prepaids, etc. (arrange that necessary supporting documentation for booking is prepared)
CoA maintenance
Regular and ad hoc reporting

Accounts reconciliations

Job Requirements: 

Higher education (preferably Accounting or Finance)
3-5 years accounting experience
Computer literacy (Excel, Power Point)
Knowledge in using accounting software
Very good knowledge of English
Internal controls, accounting standards
Discipline and high attention to detail
Good problem-solving skills
Complex thinker

What You'll Do

At eyeo, you will gain or deepen experience and knowledge in many areas of accounting, including customer and vendor transactions, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, financial statement analysis, and audit and tax support. You will have career growth opportunities to work on various projects, ERP optimization, business process improvement and internal controls.

Your day-to-day activities:

Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are following GAAP, and internal policies and procedures are executed
Manage corporate card system, including reviewing and approving expenses
Manage expense reporting system, including reviewing and approving expenses
Review, process and pay vendor bills
Create monthly customer invoices
Prepare monthly prepaid amortization and depreciation journals
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain fixed assets
Follow up on A/R
Maintain customer and vendor data in NetSuite, including W-9s
Prepare annual 1099s
Assist with filing quarterly VAT returns
Assist with audit fieldwork
Ad hoc projects as needed

What You Bring To The Table

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in MS Office
Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Highly developed attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong time-management skills
Ability to work well in a team environment

The Applicant Will Possess

Job Description:

Perform proper accounting methods, policies and principles when booking journal entries for the following areas: cash transactions, interest, debt-related activities, intercompany and other financial events
Maintain working knowledge of legal entity structure and manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
Timely preparation of reconciliations by collecting details from various sources (bank statements, AP registers, accounting details) to reconcile transactions and identify unreconciled items to be investigated.
Investigate all variances or unknown transactions within reconciliations to determine the proper accounting entry
Ensure the integrity of accounting information through timely journal entry preparation, variance analyses and resolution of account variances
Maintain a positive working relationship when addressing problems and providing solutions 
Respond to questions from other internal departments as well as liaising with select external parties
Assist with assessing and monitoring internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements towards a quicker month-end close while maintaining accounting integrity

Qualifications

Education:

Post secondary education in Accounting
Accounting degree preferred

Experience: 

2+ years general accounting experience
Bank reconciliation experience 
Journal entry preparation experience

Skills:

Ability to apply critical thinking, analyze information and establish resolution plan
Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions
Strong organization; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines
Must be able to perform with a high level of accuracy under tight time constraints, execute assignments and set direction rather than require direction.
Ability to handle large datasets, complex GL strings and multiple entities/currencies

Our client, a top-tier pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Accountant II to join their team and support their rapid growth. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting of the company.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

- Compile and analyze the affiliate information in order to monitor transactions performed by the company, and make the appropriate comparison between amounts recorded and support included for such recording by checking amounts, reviewing details, and reconciling figures.

- Identify any inconsistency and analyze data so that it can be accurately documented.

- Ensure all monitoring procedures and activities are carried out and documented in accordance with standard operating procedures and policies as defined by the company.

- Perform monthly data entry of all reportable transactions into the Expense Manager tool (EM) from the various sources: A/P system, reports, and other transactions if any.

- Secure financial information by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications:

- University Degree or College Diploma in an accounting-related field

- 3+ years of related experience

- Analytical mindset with a desire to understand key metrics and drivers

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience and had team supervision experience

Degree in Accounting or similar.

Advanced Excel user with experience in pivot tables and filters.

Previous experience or Knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&amp;O is must

Positive attitude, ability to self-manage and work independently.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Effective communications skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Understanding and experience in preparing cash flows
Execute financial controls by performing various reconciliations and testing of account detail.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

SUMMARY

The Junior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Junior Accountant is a key financial support position for the organization, responsibilities include:

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

· Power BI experience is considered an asset.

· Familiarity with accounting software (Dynamics Business Central preferred).

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Make sure customer accounts are updated in a timely manner with receipts and reflect the correct balances.
Preserve proper records for reference.
Assist in daily cash reconciliations.
Carry out proper filing of all revenue collection documents for example receipts.
Handle the status of accounts, balances and determine inconsistencies.
Prepare and print clients’ statements frequently.
Generate reports on billing activities with clear and correct information.
Any other task as may be required or assigned by HoD.

Skills

Proficient in Computer skills, ERP System (Zoho books) and Excel spreadsheet experience.
Previous experience in similar role.
Ability to deal with transactions from different stakeholders (suppliers, customers &amp; employees) and be able to manage them.
Good communication skills.
Good organizational skills and ability to work to deadline.
High level of accuracy.
To be discipline, reliable and trustworthy.
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and External agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Finance or any related subject. 

Minimum Experience

03 years
